Scene at the E slope of the Achada plateau in the vicinity of Ribeirinha. The hilly terrain characterized by the bright green of the pastures and meadows with interspersed trees, stone walls, and forest patches, and by the presence of well-preserved volcanic cones, is stereotypical for the Azorean landscape.
