Miradouro da Vista do Rei with hortensias, view in NE direction to Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul. This landscape is part of the caldera of Sete Cidades, which formed through a long and complex history of mainly explosive volcanic eruptions, leaving behind an assemblage of craters and lakes enclosed in the caldera of 5 km diameter.
