View from the shoreline of Lago Villarrica at Pucón in SE direction to the stratovolcano Villarrica (2860 m), known as Rucapillán in the Mapuche language. This basaltic-andesitic volcano represents one of the most active in the country. The fume rising from the summit crater emerges from a lava lake.
