View from Alemanía in SW direction (upstream) to the lowermost section of the Quebrada de Las Conchas, deeply incised into a sequence of uplifted, tilted, and folded sedimentary rocks of Cretaceous age. This gorge connects the tectonic grabens of the Valles Calchaquíes and the Valle de Lerma.
