National Road 52 represents an important international traffic line, connecting the harbours of N Chile with Argentina, Paraguay, and S Brazil. Coming from Paso de Jama and the Salinas Grandes, cars and trucks here descend from the Abra Potrerillos into the Quebradilla de Purmamarca and the Quebrada de Humahuaca.
