Salinas Grandes with students

The Salinas Grandes are a salt flat extending over more than 200 square kilometres at an elevation of approx. 3450 m asl. They have evolved into a major tourist attraction, with access only allowed through guided tours. Part of the surface is covered by water after periods of increased precipitation.
