View from Wackenroderbrücke up the heavily engineered Wien river in NE direction. Giving the name to the Austrian capital city, this stream drains water from the Vienna Woods towards the Danube. Runoff is usually low, but may increase significantly after heavy rainstorms. The metro line U4 runs along the river channel.
