Besides its high biodiversity, the series of waterfalls is one of the main features of the Krka National Park. Skradinski buk, the final and largest among them, consists of a cascade of 17 steps. Each of them is made of a natural tufa barrier, where calcite has precipitated from the turbulent water flow and formed some kind of travertine rock.
