Wachau with Donau and Rossatz

WI_at237_61.jpg

View from the Dürnstein castle ruin in NW direction across the Danube to the village of Rossatz. The Wachau represents a relatively narrow valley, where the Danube had to incise into the Bohemian mass. But the term Wachau also stands for the cultural landscape, famous for wine growing, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage.
