This bar or tombolo on the NW side of Tröllaskagi separates Höfðavatn on the left side from Skagafjörður on the right side. The tied island of Þórðarhöfði is connected to the mainland also by another bar farther S (poorly visible in the left background), so that Höfðavatn is fully enclosed.
