Suðureyri with Súgandafjörður

Suðureyri is one of various small and formerly remote villages in the Westfjords. Until 1996, when the Vestfjarðagöng were put into service, this place was often isolated from the rest of the World during the winter months. The tunnel enables a mostly quick and easy drive to Ísafjörður.
