View over the town of Kotor with its well-preserved historic centre in NW direction to the Bay of Kotor. This inlet represents a so-called ria: the valley of the former Bokelj river disintegrated due to tectonic processes and karstification and eventually submerged, leaving behind a system of bays connected by narrow straits.
