Oblique view of the Bay of Kotor, a complex inlet representing a so-called ria: the valley of the former Bokelj river disintegrated due to tectonic processes and karstification and eventually submerged, leaving behind a system of bays connected by narrow straits. Cruise ships are common in this area, which represents a touristic hotspot.
