Pivsko jezero

WI_cg903.jpg

Pivsko jezero is a hydropower reservoir created in the 1970s by impounding the Piva river through a 220 m high concrete dam. The small town of Plužine and a monastery were flooded and had to be rebuilt somewhere else. View from the road M-3 in N (downstream) direction.
