The Sarajevo City Hall (locally known as Vijećnica) was built in the 1890s in Moorish Revival Style. It is one of the most prominent buildings of the Austro-Hungarian period in the city. After severe damage suffered during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1992, the building was refurbished in four stages and reopened in 2014.
