This secondary school was built around 1900 in Moorish Revival style. It was severely damaged in the armed conflicts of the 1990s, and refurbished until 2009. Gimnazija Mostar was one of the first schools in the new state where classes for different ethnic groups (in this case, Bosniaks and Bosnian Croats) were at least partally integrated.
