Krug-planina | The wild horses of Livno

WI_bh707.jpg

Krug-planina, a karst highland at approx. 1300 m asl., is populated by hundreds of wild horses. They are the descendants of working horses released by their owners decades ago. Only approx. 50 horses survived the armed conflicts in the 1990s, but the population recovered and increased afterwards.
