Monaco-Ville, the medieval core of the Principality of Monaco, sits on a 60 m high promontory, known as the Rock of Monaco. This photo shows Rue Basse, one of a few quiet pedestrian roads standing in sharp contrast to the bustling life in some other quarters of the Principality.
