Londonderry | Remembrance of Bloody Sunday

WI_ukn003.jpg

The Bloody Sunday, also known as the Bogside Massacre, represents a dark spot in the town's history: on 30 January 1972, 14 fleeing, unarmed civilians were killed and a similar number injured by British soldiers during a protest march. Artistic installations and monuments at the site of the massacre honour the memory of the victims.
