View from Rozafa Castle in NW direction to Lake Skadar, forming the border between Albania and Montenegro. This largest lake of S Europe fills a tectonic depression. It is sometimes considered a karst field (polje), an interpretation which is, however, disputed. It is only few metres deep, with part of its bottom reaching slightly below sea level.
