Panoramic view from Rozafa Castle in S direction. The scene is dominated by the N of the two distributaries of Drini, the longest river of Albania. The confluence of the Drini and Buna rivers (the latter draining nearby Lake Skadar) is shown on the right side. Note the colour difference between the two rivers: the Buna originates in the clear Lake Skadar nearby, whereas the water of the Drini has already travelled a long way through the mountains and their forelands and, therefore, carries more suspended load.
