The Pyramid of Tirana opened in 1988 as the Enver Hoxha Museum. Times changed, and so did the use of the building: it served as a conference centre and, during the war in Kosovo, as a NATO base. Despite numerous proposals to demolish the Brutalist-style landmark, it was later refurbished. Since 2023, it houses a youth IT centre named TUMO.
