SE slopes of Speer (1950 m), the highest European mountain built by the layered conglomerate locally known as Nagelfluh. This rock originates from sediment transported out of the early Alps which later consolidated, and was folded and tilted. View in SW direction to Federispitz (1865 m). The village on the left side is Näfels.
