WI_ch089_805.jpg

View from the vicinity of Alp Oberchäseren in SW direction to the SE slopes of Federispitz (1865 m), one of the highest mountains in Europe built by the layered conglomerate locally known as Nagelfluh. This rock originates from sediment transported out of the early Alps which later consolidated, and was folded and tilted.
