Appenzeller Alpen | Nagelfluhkette with Federispitz

View from the vicinity of Alp Oberchäseren in SW direction to Federispitz (1865 m), built by the layered conglomerate locally known as Nagelfluh. This rock originates from sediment transported out of the early Alps which later consolidated, and was folded and tilted. Näfels and the Schwyz Alps are shown in the background.
