Panoramic view from the Campanile in northeastern direction. The cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice is the most famous example of Italo-Byzantine architecture. Most of the structure dates back to the 11th Century, whereas the height of the domes was increased in the 13th Century. The Palazzo Ducale can be seen in the right portion of the photo.
