Pisa | Piazza dei Miracoli at night

Nighttime view of the Battistero di San Giovanni in the foreground and the Romanesque-Style Duomo di Pisa with its famous campanile behind. Construction of the campanile in the right background started in the 1170s and took about 200 years. Due to soft ground on one side, the tower started to incline already during construction. The movement continued afterwards, until stabilization works took place in the late 20th and early 21st Century.
