Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Morano Calabro looks back to a long history. The fortress at the top of the old town already played a role in the period of Norman rule in early medieval times. The village is located close to Monte Pollino (2248 m) which prominently appears in NE direction in the central background.
