Güssing with Burg Güssing

View from Rosenberg in NE direction to the small town of Güssing, one of few urban places in the S part of the province of Burgenland. The castle of the same name was established in the late 12th century by the Hungarian king Béla III. It stands on an outcrop of porphyry, approx. 2 million years old.
