Reuss river near its outlet from Vierwaldstättersee, view from Rathaussteg in upstream direction to Kapellbrücke. This 14th century covered wooden bridge, one of the longest of its type in Europe, represents an iconic landmark of Luzern. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1993. Many historic paintings installed under the roof of the bridge were, however, lost.
