Étretat | Falaise d'Aval with rock fall

Panoramic view from Pointe de la Courtine in southwestern direction to the cliffs of the Falaise d'Aval, consisting mainly of white chalk, but also flintstone. Freeze-thaw effects in combination with rainwater and breaking of waves are the main causes of the frequent rock falls from the cliffs.
