View from Tour Montparnasse over the city of Paris in northwestern direction. The Eiffel Tower prominently appears in the centre of the photo behind the École Militaire and the Champ de Mars, and in front of La Défense with its skyscrapers. The gold-coloured dome in the right portion of the image belongs to the Dôme des Invalides, the place where Napoléon Bonaparte is buried.
