View from the very end of the Awa'awapuhi Trail. The rugged northwest coast of Kaua'i with its more than 1000 m high cliffs is only accessible by foot or boat. Whilst the Nā Pali Coast was an important centre of trade in past centuries, it is now almost uninhabited and protected by law.
