Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon is often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Hawai'i. It was incised to its depth of approx. 900 m due to the tremendous discharge transported from the area around Mt. Wai'ale'ale, one of the wettest spots on Earth, down to the Pacific Ocean.
