The Russian capital city has one of the longest, oldest, and busiest metro system in the World. The Kievskaya station opened in 1938 and was extended in 1952. Like various other stations, it was decorated with frescoes depicting Communist themes. Life in Belarus, according to Stalinist ideals, is shown in this ceiling mosaic.
