Genova | Detail of San Lorenzo Cathedral

This cathedral, also known as Duomo di Genova, was consecrated in 1118. However, its construction extended from the early 12th to the 17th Century, so that the church includes elements of mainly Gothic, but also Romanesque and Mannerism Style. The façade, made of black slate and white marble, is typical for the Genoese architecture.
