The Eastern Cordillera (Volcán Cotopaxi, 5897 m) is seen on the very left side, Quito in the left centre centre and the Western Cordillera in the right portion of the image. Volcán Chimborazo (6268 m) is seen in the very distant central background. This photograph was taken during a foehn situation with winds coming from the Pacific side.
