View towards SW. On February 18, 1911, a massive earthquake triggered a massive rock mass movement. The deposit blocked the Murghab Valley at a height of 570 m and impounded Lake Sarez (56 km long, elevation: 3239 m asl). The Usoi Dam is the highest dam in the world.
