Aerial view in SW direction. The smaller Cratère Bory (2632 m) is older than the more prominent Cratère Dolomieu which has assumed its shape during a major eruption in 2007. Emptying of the magma chamber beneath led to a massive collapse resulting in a caldera with a depth of 350 m.
