Location: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Uluru is a preferred target of national and international visitors, but it also has a high spiritual significance to the local Anangu people. Even though the authorities generally permit visitors to climb Uluru, it is strongly discouraged for spiritual and safety reasons.
