Location: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, view towards northwest. The drought-adapted and fire-resistant desert oak is encountered in various parts of Australia's drylands. The inselberg seen in the right background is Uluru (863 m), rising approx. 350 m above the surrounding plains. It has a high spiritual significance to the local Anangu people.
