Daintree NP, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 as part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland. This patch of coral ferns (Gleichenia sp.) surrounded by rainforest is sometimes referred to as Chinaman's Garden. Elevation: approx. 1000 m asl. The coast with Port Douglas (in SE direction, upper right portion of the image) and the Trinity Bay of the Coral Sea appear in the background.
