Simpson Desert | Longitudinal dunes

This extensive sand desert is characterized by longitudinal dunes up to 200 km long. The desert is underlain by the Great Artesian Basin. The image was actually takein in South Australia, approx. 15 km south of the border to the Northern Territory.
