View from the S tower of the Munich Cathedral (Frauenkirche) over the historic centre and the SE part of Munich. The scene is dominated by the Marienplatz, the very central square of the Bavarian capital city, with the neo-gothic building of the New Town Hall, constructed between 1867 and 1906. The Old Town Hall can be seen directly right to the New Town Hall. The prominent tower in the right centre of the image (Alter Peter) belongs to the St. Peter's Church.
