View from Montaña de Sámara down the NW slopes of Tenerife, with sparse stands of Pinus canariensis covering lava and tephra deposits as well as some cinder cones, such as Montaña Cascajo in the upper left centre. The deeply eroded Teno mountains, one of the oldest parts of the island, can be seen behind, in front of La Palma.
