Uluru / Ayers Rock | Layering

Location: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, view from Kuniya Walk to the almost vertical strata of Mutitjulu arkose (a formation of fluvial sandstone) building up Australia's major landmark. At a summit elevation of 863 m, Uluru rises approx. 350 m above the surrounding plains and has a high spiritual significance to the local Anangu people.
